Apple Seeds First Beta of watchOS 10 to Developers

Following this morning's keynote event, Apple has seeded the first beta of an upcoming watchOS 10 update to developers for testing purposes.

Apple watchOS 10 Feature
To install the ‌watchOS 10‌ update, developers will need to open the Apple Watch app, go to the Software Update section under "General" in Settings, and toggle on the ‌watchOS 10‌ Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID linked to a developer account is required.

Once beta updates have been activated, ‌watchOS 10‌ can be downloaded under the same Software Update section. To install software, an Apple Watch needs to have 50 percent battery life and it must be placed on an Apple Watch charger.

‌watchOS 10‌ adds a whole new widget-focused interface. You can access a widget stack from any watch face using the Digital Crown, swiping through them to get to relevant information. Control Center can be activated from any app by pressing the side button, and these new quick access controls are meant to let you use watch faces that support less information while still putting everything you need at your fingertips.

There are new Palette and Snoopy watch faces, updates to Cycling and Hiking workouts, and mental health integrations. Users can log their state of mind and mood using the Apple Watch, with the device providing insights into mental health over time.

‌watchOS 10‌ is limited to developers at the current time, but Apple will offer a public beta later this summer, with an official release to follow this fall.

It's quite bad, swiping between watch faces doesn't work, already got a panic and a reboot, there were issues rendering the new Palette watch face, and, in general, the watch is very slow to respond to gestures, wrist movements, etc. It's a relatively huge update tho, so I will give it some time.

How do we enable night mode on Apple Watch Ultra now? Turning the crown up enables widgets
You can do from the watch face settings, but taking away the quick action is not that good, I suppose. Although the widgets are personally more useful.

apple is 10 years behind garmin.
„new feature“ sensors: bluetooth connection sucks for most people (because they dont understand that a bluetooth device can only pair with 1 device).
Ant+ is superior.

and Apple, i am waiting for a handlebar mount ?

Apple watch does only work with iPhones, its an expensive gadget, ok for fitness and health.
If you are in sports you should look at Garmin watches (forerunner, fenix, epic, etc). Garmin has all gold standard metrics from trainingpeaks like Training Effect, Stamina, VO2, FTP, and much more. And you dont need a smartphone.
Ant+ is not superior. Its much slower than Bluetooth.

And you can pair multiple devises with Bluetooth. You just cant have multiple devices of the same type used at the same time.

For example I can have my BT heart rate monitor and BT headphones paired and used at the same time. I cannot have two BT speakers used at the same time.

I would really like to see them do some kind of change to watch hands so that they don’t block things like the date or notification counter on messages Complication on watch face. Wayfinder is the primary face I use.

Sooooo........

The way to get into widgets, by scrolling up on the crown, is also the way the AWU goes into night mode on the one specific watch face that uses it.

Hoping someone can tell me how Apple deals with this.
